Marisha is a passionate, curious and dynamic woman who likes to write about herself in the third person.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Communications in 2014, Marisha has 3 years of communications industry experience. While she held positions in marketing, advertising and events, it was the desire to create positive change which led her to switch careers.
Marisha completed her Master of Human Rights with distinction and currently has over 10 years of related industry experience. With a focus on human rights and climate change she has completed roles in advocacy, partnership management and program implementation across various sectors. She has worked in locations such as Melbourne, Geneva, London, New York, Berlin and Asia at large.
Currently she works full-time as the Senior Regional Manager of Asia at beVisioneers in Berlin, Germany with frequent travel to Asia-Pacific.
In her spare time, Marisha likes to explore new places, learn Deutsch, read sci-fi and play sports.

Scaling the Largest Climate Fellowship in the World
Starting at beVisioneers 6 months before it launched allowed Marisha to develop high level strategy for all in person programming and be part of the implementation process. Since 2022 the bevisioneers program has grown from 100 to 1,000 fellows and 9 to 76 countries globally, making beVisioneers the largest youth climate fellowship in the world. Marisha has been able to contribute valuable insights through her professional and lived experience, providing cultural context and intersectional lens to beVisioneers.

Nationwide Program Development
In her role as Australian Program and Country (National) Manager for ygap, Marisha successfully led over 18 disadvantaged and culturally diverse founded small businesses, through ygap’s flagship Accelerator Program. She supported these projects along with her fellow National ygap Managers to provide tangible solutions for complex ecosystems.

Cultural Growth and Training
In her role as a Cultural Development Officer, she grew the Wyndham Humanitarian Network from 5 to 35 stakeholders in under 9 months and re-designed and recruited 10 new members to a Multicultural Committee for at-risk disadvantaged youth. She also created and implemented a 5-part cultural diversity training for internal City Council staff.

Marisha spoke at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland, twice, to raise awareness of human rights abuses committed towards female Tamil Sri Lankan refugees.
