Wyndham City Council
Wyndham City Council is a local government area located in the West of Melbourne’s Metropolitan area. Wyndham is one of the fastest growing LGA’s and has one of the highest populations of diverse and disadvantaged groups in Australia.
I worked as the Cultural Development Officer for the Youth department of Wyndham City Council from 2019 - 2021.
During my time at Wyndham I developed and ran multiple programs and committees targeted towards disadvantaged youth aged 12 - 25 years old.
In addition to this, I ran the Wyndham Humanitarian Network, which aims to address humanitarian issues within the LGA by bringing together relevant councils, organisations and non-profits. I also created and implemented intersectionality training for internal Wyndham City Council staff, to raise cultural awareness within Council.
